John Scudder was an eclectic physician in the late 19th century who contributed a considerable amount of experience and concepts to the world of eclectic herbalism at that time. The word “alterative” was a term that developed from that time which was used to describe herbs that could detoxify the system through “blood purification.”
Our formula echoes Dr. Scudder’s original alterative recipe that he used to help maintain liver and digestive health, clean up metabolic by-products in the body and promote skin health.
